Marrakech to Fes 2 days

Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi’N’Tichka – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouerzazate – Dades gorges - Toudgha gorge – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

On the first day of your Marrakech to Fes 2 days, which departs on the early morning from the Red city of Marrakech, you will take the road to the Sahara desert to explore a totally different side of Morocco’s diverse culture as you’ll notice the change in landscapes from the eventful alleys and vivid monuments to raw and simple architecture of the Berber community and the sandy world of the desert. As you depart from Marrakech, you’ll stop at Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, to visit the famous Mudbrick Kasbah which a UNESCO world heritage site. Then with our Marrakech desert tours, you will pass by the cinematic city of Morocco, Ouerzazate, nicknamed “Hollywood of Morocco” where the making of several well-known movies like Gladiator and Jewel of the Nile and tv shows like Game of Thrones and Prison Break in the giant Atlas studios or in the surrounding landscape. From Ouerzazate, you will continue your Marrakech to Fes 2 days to Dades gorges where you will explore other charming sights of the high Atlas valleys and Todgha gorge which is where the huge cliffs of the valley create a magical scene that showcases the greatness and splendor of Mother Nature as the they rise about 100 meters tall. From Todgha, you’ll carry to Merzouga. Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you will have the choice of either taking a 4WD or a 40 minutes camel trek during the beautiful sunset to your luxury desert camp, located in the middle of the golden dunes of the Sahara desert. You’ll enjoy your traditional Madfouna dish for dinner to the rhythm of folkloric drum music under the light of the shining stars before spending your night with our Marrakech desert tours in a luxurious bivouac tent.

Day 2 : Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

On the second day of your Marrakech to Fes 2 days, you wake up early in the morning to witness the gorgeous sunrise on the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi which creates a beautiful and picturesque scene. After enjoying your breakfast, you will continue your Marrakech desert tours by going back on the road from Merzouga to the imperial city of Fes, visiting many important and captivating sights on the way as you will visit some of the Middle Atlas cities on the way. As you are leaving the High Atlas and enter the Middle Atlas, you’ll pass by Midelt, which is a small Berber town located between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas mountain ranges at 1550 meters above sea level in an apple country that is also rich with minerals. You’ll notice that the architecture will start to change from Old Berber architecture to modern European architecture to cope with cold and snow of the Middle Atlas. On the way to Fes with our Marrakech desert tours, you will pass by Azrou, the capital of the Berber community in the Middle Atlas where you will also check out the Cedar forests, inhabited by the playful Barbery Macaque monkeys. Before reaching Fes, you’ll pass by Ifrane, “Switzerland of Morocco”, famous for its serenity and very cold and snowy weather. It is home to some beautiful gardens, a very clean environment and Al Akhawayn university. Upon your arrival in Fes, our driver will drop you off at your hotel/airport or at your preferred location, bringing this wonderful Marrakech to Fes 2 days to its end.
